The ensemble Les Goûts réunis was founded in 2022 by gambist and cellist Kyran Assing as a space where young professional musicians specializing in historically informed performance can come together to explore the vast repertoire of early music. The group emphasizes accessible concerts, a relaxed and welcoming concert atmosphere, as well as education, intergenerational sharing, and cultural representation.

Named after François Couperin’s collection of instrumental suites, the group aims to bring together cultures, performance styles, genres, art forms, and diverse audiences. Baroque drag, African diaspora music of the 17th and 18th centuries, folk tales and Caribbean theater, as well as traditional Brazilian dance music, are all on the table and blended with European music of the same period.
